Been busy around here again.  I have been getting orders ready for Re Belle in Kentucky and for Ball and Skein(newest store) in Ohio.   It is so exciting to send yarn out across the country, I still can't believe that Tempted is all over now.   I am so happy to show you all some of the colors that I am sending out into the world.  Thigh Highs  (Black with Turquoise resists) and Femme (pink and black) will be hitting stores soon.

I have also been a little under the weather for the last several days.  I absolutely hate headaches, especially those that last for several days.  Anyway it really slowed me down.  I am feeling better today and have a whole lot of catching up to do around here.   I felt so bad I didn't even want to knit and that is really saying something, just laid up with a pillow over my head.

Speaking of knitting I am working on Linear out of the Norah Gaughan Woodland Gothic booklet from Berroco.  I am using Palace instead of the Inca Gold that they recommend.  It is working out wonderfully.  I have learned something interesting about myself in the process too.  I have always been a thrower, but all the sudden I have become a picker.  I had just finished the ribbing for the back and I had an overwhelming desire to work in continental!  Now I have finished the back and am working in the left front and have been knitting continental ever since.  Don't know what came over me, but I am knitting faster now.

So how do you knit?  Are you a thrower, picker or do you switch?

I can only knit quickly if I'm knitting Continental, but if I'm doing 2-color knitting I hold my background color in the right hand and knit it English style. I knit back backwards rather than purling because it's faster, and I absolutely CANNOT purl English style. I would have to use my toes or my teeth or something to get more than a stitch a minute when purling English. I think one time I purled around a mitten ONE TIME using English-style knitting and it took the whole hour my son was having a flying lesson.

Hope you are feeling better by now.

I'm a thrower. It's the way my momma taught me, so that's how I do it. I do want to try colorwork with a different color in each hand. In that case I guess I'd be a picker and a thrower. :0)

Have you ever dyed any teal and brown yarn? Just got a new blouse with those colors and thought they go together good.

So sorry to hear you've been under the weather. Your new blog page looks fabulous--and I love the "Thigh Highs" in Glam Grrl. Puppies look cuter than ever!
