The awesome year that was!

I have been a horrible blogger this year.  You might wonder if I haven’t been doing anything but honestly it has been the exact oppisite, it has been crazy busy all year.

I thought maybe I would just show you my year in pictures.

Lots of MCN and a pair of gloves made with that wonderful base.

The smashing Stacy shawl made for me by my little sis.  Another Luxe creation.

Then there was the Argus Shawl knit out of Lovely Grrl.

The Seaside also made with Lovely Grrl.

A big ol’ pile of Lovely Grrl that made its way to the Loopy Ewe.

Caught in a snow storm at little Sisters house while at a Trunk show at Swak.  March in Oklahoma, either this or a tornado, always a toss up.

Spring Fling 2010

More yarn for Loopy.

Nothing like a visit with awesome friends including of course The Knit Girllls along with some of my other favorite kniters Sara and Jessica.

There were knitting tragedies, like dropped stitches in lace!

Knitting triumphs, like the Shetland Pi KAL.  Knit with Good Grrl and sitting around my shoulders as I type.

More wonderful knitting friends visiting, the wonderful and super talented Lynn.

Probably one of the biggest highlights though was the amazing and way way out of my comfort zone trip to Virginia to meet Lucy!   Seriously she is such a Diva!

Wendy might have been there too, really she is the absolute best!  She was such an amazing hostess and we had the most amazing time.  Really, I don’t do much real traveling so this was a very big deal to me.  My sister Muriel and I traveled over to VA for 5 days.  We took a trip to Fibre Space and really loved our tour of Old Town Alexandria.

Doesn’t she look pretty sitting in the window seat, btw she still hasn’t finished that shawl, nothing like a sister to tell off on you. LOL

Then there was the trip to Graves Mountain and sitting around knitting with not only the Amazing Wendy but also with Muriel and the ever elusive LB!  I finally got to meet her in person after years of an online friendship.  She is just as wonderful in person as she is online.

I have got to be one of the luckiest knitters in the world.  I have made some amazing friends.

As usual I wouldn’t be me without my Gray Ladies!

The last big knitting event of my year was the Arkansas Fiber Arts Extravaganza and another wonderful oppuritunity to see some good friends.

Up in the Arkansas Mountains at the beautiful Magazine Mt Lodge

What a great group of women!  We had a wonderful time and there was a lot of knitting going on.  The entire place was packed with knitters, spinners and fiber enthusists of all kinds.

I didn’t get a picture of the booth, but the kind and generous Elizabeth of Stringtown Yarn and Fiber in Ft.Smith AR let me share her booth.  I have known Elizabeth for years and tell everyone what a fiber guru she is.  She knows it all!

This was the year of great friends!

Here is to another great year of fiber and friends.
